Re-Compound nozzle

Re-compound nozzle EN 140

Re-compound nozzle EN 140 is particularly helpful with recycled products (with post-industrial recycled material from the plastics industry) as it can help to elevate their quality level to somewhere approaching that of new plastic through the addition of reinforcing materials, stabilisers and additives or it can help to achieve an optimal result during the spraying process where recycled plastics are added.

The re-compound nozzle consists of a filter insert combined with static mixer ele-ments.

The integrated filter insert is designed in such a way that it catches impure plastics up to a particle size of 0.9 mm (on request 0.7 mm). This ensures trouble-free, eco-nomic production, especially when using a hot runner system.

The integrated static mixer elements provide an optimal, homogeneous polymer melt, which facilitates a constant injection process.

The re-compound nozzle EN 140 impresses with its small size and simple han-dling/upgradability. The size I re-compound nozzle EN 140 is suitable for an injection volume of 200 to 300 cm³/s and in size II until 800 cm³/s depending on the melt vol-ume-flow rate (MVR). Alternatively, we also have re-compound nozzles for larger shot weights in our delivery program.

Advantages:

 No foreign bodies in the hot runner or gate system
 Excellent thermal homogeneity of the melt even with a high proportion of re-generated material
 Equal colour distribution with better surface quality on the moulded parts
 Improved melt flow characteristics
 Lower reject rate/instances of delay
 Narrower tolerances due to improved dimensional accuracy
 Better process reliability/lower amounts of downtime

The nozzle casing, nozzle radius and nozzle hole can be adjusted to your machine according to your specifications.
